It does seem kind of nostaligic. I'm happy the feeling gets across. This was inspired by an event during my childhood when I tried to take care of a dying rabbit - kind of sticks with you all your life haha. I'm honored you like it so much, thank you :)

It's my favorite drawing subject recently. If I were more patient with colors I'd have it so differentiating between organs and plants would be more difficult for the viewer.

Really love how you did the linework on this. The contrast between the intensity of the detail in the fur and the simple contour lines of the bones and plants works so well. Gotta love that imagery too!

The amount of line really does well to convey the texture of the fur and also add a roughness that furthers the feelings this sort of image conjures up.

Oh wow, really! This inspired me to to do another page on my comic for some reason!

When I saw the thubnail I was like "Dude, no blood?", then I clicked it and I was like "OFC not, the rabbit is bleeding flowers ;w;" so sad and beatiful!

Also your avatard made me smile for some reason. It's so horribal and hilarious at the same time <3

When I was a child I happened upon a pancaked squirrel in the middle of the street. Being young, I stared for a while. Just as I was about to walk away, the squirrels head started moving- like up and down. It was absolutely terrifying at the time and I started to run away. Upon looking back a couple beetles crawled out from his neck. This one brings back that memory vividly. I think seeing a dead animal and really having the whole thing sink in is a sort of universal experience for everyone as a child.
