Forcing him to switch billing method on all his Patreons or he wouldn't get any more subscribers, as a respons to Apple charging 30% more to use the Patreon app on their system. He wasn't the only one, everybody was pissed about that because it was a nightmare to deal with.

Sure, because changing the billing plan for your business and not getting any new Patreon subscribers before you do sounds like so much fun to do in the middle of developing a game. I'm sure he chose to be without getting new subscribers from the Patreon app until the game was finished because it was fun.

Guys give DPC a break, UHD 120fps Unreal Engine 5 cinematic of mine and Nicole's wedding is not easy job to pull off, but I'm sure it will look nice!
On a more serious note, it's always quite entertaining reading delusional comments after devlog drops. People get so mad they start sputing literal lunacy. Some say this game is barely average and overhyped, some say it is abandoned (???), some say it will come out in December 2025, some say DPC did nothing at all... I'm a bit sad about no new previews, but that's about it. I just hope I don't have any unfortunate events irl preventing me from enjoying the update when it comes out.

Darkwen, let's be objective, your dislike of extreme wealth is understandable given your environment and what greedy rotten corporations are doing to your country, but he's just an indie porn game developer who made a couple million on his project. By US standards, he's not even rich, barely enough to buy a house in NY
His main problem is not money but absurd ambitions to do bigger, more noticeable, to write his name in the history of AVNs, that is, I would say DPCs ego is his worst enemy.

Let's say it's 5. And now there are exactly 50 animations in the queue. Then it will take 10 weeks to finish rendering the animations at the current speed, and this end of rendering is not until early March. Add three weeks of beta testing and ep11 comes out on April 4.
I actually have no idea what he will do for 2, 5 months while the animations are rendered and how he will explain. He'll have to ban a thousand more people.
We're at the point now where releasing a game in February is considered a very optimistic scenario.
This work will be completed within the next week. In fact, he has already completed the polishing, and the alpha testing phase remains, which may take the whole of January.

And how much is Apple making? He worked for his money, can you say the same about the rich corporate bosses with their multi-million bonuses? You say he should be grateful that they only take 30%. Why do you consider him worse than the rich fat-asses who sit in their offices and never worked a real job in their life?

I don't think he's hated. Hate is a very strong emotion, after all.Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one here who doesn't absolutely hate DPC's guts and thinks the game is worth the wait.
I remember a couple of years ago, everybody praised him and I got so much crap for criticizing something about the game, now you get crap for liking it and not hating him.
For me personally, he just annoys me sometimes with his arrogance.
As for the game, I guess if he keeps the same development pace of 1, 5- 2 years many people will eventually get tired of waiting and quit the game. And the game will suffer the fate of Summertime Saga.
