Honestly seeing how people love his game L&P should logicaly exploit that by draging it out indefinetly, hopefully he doesn't.
In few exchanges I had with him privately, and from reading his posts I do believe he is a honest and dedicated dude, that is simply comitted to make the game how he originaly envisioned it those years ago, and he just sticks to his original pre-planned storyline (including things like Cathy and her marriage).
It might seem wastefull, it is a time he could have been spending developing core relationship of the game, but it was apparently in plans from the begining. Those little storylines are what makes the game so special, making the Life of Sophia so believable, not just an excuse to have more sex scenes.
Sure poeple who only want to fap, will be dissapointed, but the game from the very start was not only about porn.
Call it an erotic Drama Series VN or whatever, but it is what it is.
Now when people overract every time, it only shows how deeply they are invested in the game, proving that what L&P is doing works. He seems like an honest hardworking individual, but if he continues to see how people are, he might actualy get corrupted by that success eventualy, and he indeed might decide to stretch things out even more just to remain in the safe area longer.
Thats why you people should just calm down imho ;-
A Wife and a Mother is a GREAT game, one of the best experiences you can find on this board, but it is just a game, not something to organise your lifes arround !
Let L&P do his work the way he intended it from the start, and judge him on it afterwards. Don't make a drama arround it, becouse that what can potencialy corrupt even the best author to become lazy, complacent and only money oriented.

Yes, it is difficult to come up with something creative and realistic (in terms of the game philosophy).
Among many others I was leaning towards the photo thing and still I'm not crazy about it, but it seems the most straightforward one given what we know (today a little more).
And like you, KillJoys and nexer have pointed out, that would be a foolish choice for Sophia as it would push her more and more in the blackmail spiral and Aiden would have even more leverage.
At the same time we should remember that it's fiction and we can expect the characters to act on non-rational basis not matter how smart they are depending on the context and the situation in which they are. Just think of any horror movie, if all the characters act rationally the movie will last 10 minutes
That is to say that it could very well that Sophia receives this unexpected and unpleasant call while she is with Liam, Cathy etc and to not make it too suspicious to the others, in the rush of the moment and to cut the inconvenience short she agrees.
Or as suggested by hzjujk she could agree out of spite because she catches Liam peeking at the bride-to-be or Olivia (i'm no expert here but I think that when they start to choose the dress they will ask Liam to leave, I think it's a women only kind of tradition and no male can see the dress before the wedding).
Again, I'm not at all pushing for this scenario, just trying to give more elements to the discussion, for the sake of pure speculation
.The alternative way as suggested by nexer it could be outside the shop, which means that Sophia will excuse herself from the company or she will do the task after that. This is also interesting and it has a potential, especially the sex shop thing
The question that arises story-wise is why the Cathy event then? Just to give a "filler" for people that are not in the Aiden's route? It would be quite boring for them unless there are stuff going on with Cathy and Olivia (e.g. lesbian points or anything else). It is still possible, after all we had very short filler in the past, like the bank and the dentist, which to this day I still not understand the interest of. Whichever is the case it's difficult to guess how bolder Aiden can go for this step. We had "braless", "show panties", he cannot jump to something way beyond that, at least not at this time. And probably there should be still some voyeurism involved I think, not just for Aiden & C to enjoy. That's the "game" they are playing after all, and which Sophia seems to not dislike. If I understood correctly it will be the 4th task that will mark a sort of point of no return, in which probably the request will be so bold that if accepted will change completely the relationship.

Regarding Aiden: Please also note that L&P said that he is a also a "normal" person and that he is in a relationship. That not all future tasks might be related to Sophia doing something lewd. He could just as easily need help or guidance with his girlfriend or that they both together might need tips on how to improve their love life. So it could be that Aiden actually might need Sophias help at some point.

Just to dispel some stupid rumors which are circulating here:
1) I only edited Cathy's texture and face a little bit. Her body proportions are 100% the same like on day 2! You should know that the breasts of a woman can look different depending on the dress she's wearing! This is a loose fitting shirt which hangs down a little bit. This gives the illusion as if her breasts are a little bit bigger. Plus, this dress doesn't hide and squeeze her breasts in the front like the first one did.
2) Olivia is not the introduction of a new character or a new storyline!!! And this scene was in the offing already from day 2 on!!! Women are choosing their wedding dress usually either with her best friend or with a family member. So, what's the huge surprise that Cathy took her sister with her for that important step in her life??? And for an answer why Liam's there you just have to check their restaurant scene in the evening of day 2!
3) This scene has a reason and isn't just thrown in out of boredom! And Aiden has nothing to do with it but the scene is different depending on if there's the deal with him or not! End of this game day you'll know the real reason of this scene!

I have said that this scene may not be the surprise event everybody was going on about.
I guess we will receive a lot of information by the end of the day concerning other matters as well.
I guess a party could be on the cards then,stripper/alcohol/Sophia/horny what a combination.
